First Official Trip 2014: Acadia National Park, Maine

OMG we are in LOVE! We love Maine and we love Acadia National Park! The RV resort we are staying in is called Mt. Desert Narrows and is a nice spot. We are backed against the woods and have water and electric hookups. Unfortunately, we do not have sewer or grey water although there appear to be a few spaces that do. The Narrows also has waterfront for smaller RVs and tent campers. Very beautiful!

What is most awesome about this location is the National Park and the many trails to walk, hike, bike, etc. There are even free shuttles (provided by LL Bean) that run all over the island so that your car can stay with the RV more often than not. We are also loving the lobster from the Travelin’ Lobster. It’s only a few miles from Mt. Desert Narrows and is a family run business. The father, daughter-in-law, and nephew all work to make the lobsters and muscles while his son and son-in-law are the fishermen. AWESOME! We stopped here for an early dinner on our anniversary and liked it so much we went back tonight! I have a feeling we will be enjoying it again before we leave.

I’ll have more to share about Maine in upcoming posts!! Right now, our Jiffy Popcorn is ready!
