Hanging in Texas

We’ve been here for over a week and a half and have not really gone sight seeing or even to Dallas or Fort Worth (other than one evening to see friends for dinner). It seems, Arlington, TX is a real suburb with malls and all the same shopping centers you can find anywhere else. I’m not complaining though, I’ve had a productive time with RV home updates, I’ve enjoyed the sunshine everyday, hung with our very cool neighbors (full timers on both sides and all are still working -they’re living our plan!), walked the dogs a lot, got to read, meditate and practice Qigong for an hour or more everyday! I’m feeling great and really enjoying the time away. Here’s some regular day to day shots of me hanging with the girls and Andrew making dinners on the grill!

So, that’s daily life! Chill.

Our one day away from the RV, that didn’t include Home Depot or Target, was to Fort Worth and the Stockyards. It was interesting to see where the animals were once brought for sale and trade. We wandered through the tourist shops and whatnot and just enjoyed some people watching. There was a wedding with the bride dressed in a full, white, princess gown and her husband in cowboy boots, jeans and a leather vest… Another couple was there with two preteens and a photographer. So, they were sitting in the middle of walkways and whatnot getting pictures taken. Anyway, we bought a beer and wandered the area taking it all in.

Then we met friends, Jim, Angie, Angie and Jeromy, for dinner and ate at Lonesome Dove Western Bistro. We had a few drinks, good food and lots of laughs before we went home. I highly recommend the side dishes… not atypical for me to only eat sides; the sides are often more appealing than the meals. I ordered three and had WAY too much! The mushrooms and brussel sprouts were amazing, and the mac and cheese was okay… Not cheesy enough for me.

Time for me to eat my breakfast in the sunshine and have another restful day!!
